4 December 2011, will definitely be a night to remember for the 4500 Cassiopeia fans who attended TVXQ’s Asia Fan Party 2011 in Singapore. Held at the largest venue in Singapore, the Indoor Stadium, the place was literally hot on fire, with the amazing high-energy performances by TVXQ.
The boys arrived in style at Changi Airport on 3 December and was received by almost 500 screaming fans. Changmin and Yunho were dressed in simple yet chic looks, and completed their cool aura with dark shades. For the fans who have been camping long hours at the airport, their wait was worth it as the boys took their time to walk down to their awaiting Mercedes.
TVXQ heated up the atmosphere and got the party started with a powerful performance of Maximum. It was then followed by the ballad How Can I, a soulful display of TVXQ’s vocal talents. Hit songs like Before U Go, Rising Sun, Keep Your Head Down, and even a Medley(The Way U Are + Mirotic) got the crowd wild and screaming for more. Continuously waving their red lightsticks to show the display of the ‘Red Ocean’ and doing impromptu fanchants as loudly as they can, fans were indeed impressive on that night.

Interactive sessions were held to bring TVXQ closer to the fans. A quiz to test their knowledge on Singapore had the crowd laughing especially when TVXQ tried to use Singlish slang terms in their sentences. The classic one being Changmin‘s “So many fans are here today, ALAMAK!” and Yunho‘s “The chilli crab here is so SHIOK“.
When asked if they knew the number of official languages in Singapore, Yunho confidently answered 5. He listed them as “English, Chinese, Malaysia(he means Malay), Tamil, KOREA!” which got fans cheering and probably wishing it was true.
Their impression of Singapore? - Changmin mentioned that it is a clean and tidy country, and the fans were so passionate at the airport, welcoming them. The boys also acknowledge that the wait for fans in Singapore has been one of the longest, and they were thankful to know that fans were still supporting them. Their worries of being forgotten were definitely cast aside.
2012 New Year Resolution? - To come back to Singapore again, to meet and perform for their fans.
2012 Plans? - TVXQ will be touring Japan early next year and thereafter prepare new music for a comeback!
A special showcase of 2 chosen fan made videos were shown on stage. The videos bared the hearts and emotions of the fans and, safe to say, is reflective of every Cassiopeia who has been waiting long for TVXQ and consistently supporting them. Although the boys did not cry, (though Changmin did dramatise and pretended to sob) they were clearly touched by the videos which tugged at one’s heartstrings. Fans were also seen shedding tears whilst watching the fan videos.
The night ended on a high note with ‘Keep Your Head Down‘. TVXQ took some moments at the end to express their feelings and thoughts to fans. Changmin thanked fans for coming and wished them a good Christmas ahead whilst Yunho hope that fans will wait for their return and that he will show an improved performance in time to come.
