Boy Groups’ Performances at Wave K Super Rookies

LED Apple, B1A4, M.I.B. and My Name are some of the rookie boy groups who made a lot of success this year. Before the year ends they performed for their fans at the Wave K Super Rookies special episode.The ‘performance band’ LED Apple hit the stage with their song Accidentally Run Into You and Maroon 5’s Move Like Jagger. Recently, the group has been gaining a lot attention not only because of their powerful performances but also because of the group members’ average height, 185cm (5’11”). Emcees Brian Joo and Eru asked them who has the longest leg in the group and it turns out to be vocal Kyu Min.

The crowned Super Rookie, B1A4, performed their hit singles Beautiful Target and OK. Emcees asked Baro how his younger sister feels about him, being popular. Baro answered “she said she’s very proud.” He was asked again if there are other groups his sister likes. Baro immediately answered “no, she said she only knows Oppa.”

M.I.B. raised the roof as they performed their single G.D.M. (Girls, Dream, Money) with a very addictive beat and another single Who Am I. Kangnam, known to be fluent in three languages (English, Korean and Japanese) was asked to greet in Japanese. He said in Japanese “We are doing our best in Korea. We’re a new hip hop group, M.I.B. Please support us.”

My Name performed their own rendition of Backstreet Boys’ As Long As You Love Me and their own songMessage. The emcees gave Seyong, Insoo and JunQ a problem that they have to solve: What if the three of them like one girl, are they going to concede or stand firm for it? Seyong and JunQ said they would never give way but Insoo said he will concede. Maybe because he is the hyung among them.
