2PM have successfully finished their arena tour in Japan with the Nippon Budokan concert, held on December 21, as the last one.
According to an announcement by 2PM’s agency, 2PM have proved their popularity in Japan by attracting total 100,000 audiences to their concert tour, 2PM Arena Tour 2011 Republic of 2PM, held in Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo, Fukuoka, and Nippon Budokan.
At the last concert, 2PM performed songs from their first Japanese album, including “100th Day Anniversary,” “Ultra Lover,” and “Stay With Me.”
Also, the members’ solo stages that showed their individuality and musical talents were praised more than any other performances. 2PM ended the last concert with their hit songs such as “Take Off,” “10 Points Out Of 10,” and “I’m Your Man.”
Especially, after 2PM’s encore performance, the fans sang a song to 2PM to make them happy. Surprised by the unexpected gift from their fans, the members were moved to tears.
At the concert, a new plan for another concert titled the 2012 Early Summer Concert at Budokan for 6 Days was announced and got the fans excited.
As the title insists, 2PM is going to hold concerts at Nippon Budokan for six days in early summer, 2012. Many Hallyu stars have performed on the Budokan stage, but 2PM are the first Hallyu group to hold concerts for 6 days at Budokan.
JYP Entertainment says, “It’s been a year since their debut in Japan, and 2PM have ranked second on the 2011 Oricon’s rankings for album sales of new artists (December 13, 2010 – December 11, 2011) and first among new Korean artists. Their performances and expressions that have fascinated many Japanese people will also shine at the 2012 Budokan concerts and fascinate the audience once again.”
2PM are planning to appear on TV programs until the end of this year after the end of their arena tour.
