Yoo So Young, former member of After School, is casted for KBS 2’s new drama series Dream High 2.
On December 14, a representative from Dream High 2 said in an interview with TV Report, “Yoo So Young appears in Dream High 2 as a student.”
Besides her role as a student, no other specific information is given about Yoo’s character. It is said that production crew is going through final stage of arranging the characters.
As Yoo’s appearance in Dream High 2 is decided, netizens show interest whether Kahi and Yoo will be shown competing one another in acting. The representative added, “Kahi plays a teacher and Yoo is a student, therefore they will not be involved in a competing relationship.”
By the end of 2009, Yoo dropped out of the group After School and a hiatus for two years. Then she returned to TV as an actress in KBS’s drama series The Women of Our Home. Dream High 2 appears to be her second series, and people are building expectations over her acting.
2AM’s Jung Jin Woon, Kang Sora, Sistar’s Hyo Lyn, T-ara’s Ji Yeon, Park Jin Young, Kwon Hae Hyo, Choi Yeo Jin, After School’s Kahi, and Yoo So Young are casted to play main characters in Dream High 2. The series will premiere on January 30 next year.
