SHINee met a perplexing situation. As too many fans suddenly swarmed over their secret fan event, it was stopped by the local police.
Sankei Sports reported on December 8 that SHINee’s fan event was stopped by the police. SHINee was going to open a secret event to celebrate the release of their new album The First in Shibuya, Tokyo on December 7.
This event wasn’t previously announced but only spread some leaflets that wrote, “Look for a group of five Santa Clauses that starts with S” near JR Shibuya station. However, around a thousand fans swarmed over and crowded the place.
About 30 minutes before the event was started, the local police stopped the event. It was the order from Shibuya police station that the event needs to be stopped because there is risk of an accident as the place is crowded without a previous notice.
SHINee eventually stopped the event and moved to an underground parking lot nearby. SHINee’s Key expressed his depressed feeling by saying, “We’re sorry that we can’t see you today,” and Jong Hyun said, “We want to repay your love through a fan event (in Tokyo International Forum) on December 24.”
