Rainbow’s agency announced on Dec. 7 that Rainbow will set out on its first Japanese concert tour with its new second Japanese single “Mach” starting from Theater Brava, Osaka on Dec. 17, then to Shibuya Public Hall, Tokyo on Dec. 19, to Nagoya Public Hall on Dec. 20.
The tour will be held in the form of mini promotional concerts targeting the selected applicants who bought the Rainbow’s new album. When the tickets are converted into money, it would reach as high as 500 million won, which reflects the huge scale of the promotional concert tour. The 3D mapping projection is expected to be employed for the concerts.
Considering that Rainbow’s members are equipped with well-honed singing abilities,Japan’s Universal Sigma has prepared to throw a promotional tour in time for the release of its second Japanese single. The tour also was designed to help Rainbow approach closer to Japanese local fans.
When Rainbow released its Japanese debut single “A” in September, it ranked third on the Oricon Daily Chart just in a day, recording the highest position Korean girl groups have made on the first day of their albums’ release in Japan. Rainbow is currently staying in Japan, appearing on popular Japanese TV programs such as Nihon TV’s Happy Music and holding interviews with various Japanese media channels.
