After the special screenings in select theaters in USA and Canada, the film Punch (Wandeugi) starred by Yoo Ah In, is ready to make wave in Europe. The movie has been invited to the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival, which will be held from February 9 to 19, 2012. 
It is the second Korean film to be screened in the ‘Generation’ section after director Lee Hae Yeong’s film Like A Virgin in 2007. Films screened under this section are geared towards younger audience. It is divided into two, Generation K plus for films featuring children and Generation 14 plus for teens.

Punch hit the blockbuster status reaching more than 5 million viewers when it was shown in the local theaters in Korea. It was also screened in the 16th Busan International Film Festival last October 6 to 14,2011. Berlin International Film Festival or Berlinale is a top tier European festival, and considered to be one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world.
