Celebrating the most – beloved and heartwrenching drama of the year, Korean drama fans was in for a beautiful gift on a 5 December, 2011 afternoon at AVALON, Marina Bay Sands, Singapore for we welcomed Korean stars Kim Sun-A (My Lovely Sam Soon) and Lee Dong Wook (My Girl) in person!
Their special tour embarking to promote their 16-part Korean romance hit drama TV series Scent of A Woman, currently airing Wednesdays and Thursdays at 9.05pm, first and exclusively on ONE, Kim and Lee are on a two-day,two-city, whirlwind tour to greet their fans in Singapore and Malaysia.
In Scent of a Woman, Kim Sun-A plays Lee Yeon Jae, a thirty-something single woman told she is left with six months to live after being diagnosed with cancer.
Before they entered the stage, we were greeted with the epitome of the drama, seen in the logo of the drama where two figures, a man and a woman danced together. The tango dance, the dance that the dancers portray at the opening played with the original OST from the drama, captures the heart of the drama once again where it has brought everyone to tears.
The beautiful and the handsome, Kim Sun-A and Lee Dongwook finally cued in to enter the premises as the host greeted them. At 170cm tall, Kim was gorgeous in a simple chiffon pattern dress and high heels, making her legs long and lean, while Lee seem casual smart with his white shirt and a pair of sports trainer shoes and colorful socks. They greeted the media and press present on stage, while sharing a thing or two about the drama.
“Hello everyone, I am ‘Lee Yeon Jae’ in the drama, nice to meet you all, my name is Kim Sun-A”, Kim greeted first to the audience. “I really like Singapore, and this is not my first time. I have previously been here for a short holiday and I enjoy the warm weather and very clean city,” she responded when asked about what they think of Singapore.
Lee continued next, “Nice to see you all here, I’m Lee Dong Wook who plays as her boss in the movie; a retarded, no desire to live. But he changes when he meets Yeonjae. It’s my first time here in Singapore and I’m surprise of the warm weather as it is very cold now in Seoul. I haven’t had a chance to see around Singapore as I am here for work, but if I get a chance someday it looks like a great sightseeing city.”
Lee and Kim was amicable in person and kept joking towards each other. Their chemistry was apparent; they had worked together so well it was hard to see which was reality and which was the acting. Take a look at their warm personalities below!
Shortly after their introduction, proceeded to sign the board with their drama image; Kim signed on Lee’s face and vice versa. They again, whispering and joked with each other while the media captured in high shutter-speed nonstop for their actions. They were also given an gift of appreciation and thanks from ONE. The schedule continued on with photo-taking with the two actors with the media present, and interviews on separate rooms.
In Singapore, 150 ONE subscribers received on a first-come-first-served basis, a pair of passes each to attend ONE’s exclusive meet-and-greet event to catch Kim and Lee in person. On 5 December, 7PM at Avalon, Marina Bay Sands, after the media meeting, the lucky ONE subscribers get to hear Kim and Lee relate their personal experiences from the production of Scent of A Woman.
