Jung Il Woo plays the role of Prince Yang Myung in The Moon Embracing the Sun

Jung Il Woo is expected to be cast in MBC’s new drama The Moon Embracing the Sun,instead of Joo Won.
According to the production company and Jung’s agency on December 6, Jung became a strong candidate for the role of Prince Yang Myung in The Moon Embracing the Sun, instead of Joo Won who recently gave up the role. 
Spokespeople of both said, “It’s not confirmed yet, but it is very possible for Jung to be cast in the role that Joo Won was cast earlier.”
The Moon Embracing the Sun is expected to air in January 2012 after Me Too, Flower is finished. It is a fantasy historical drama about love between Yeon Woo, a woman who was supposed to be the Crown Princess but becomes a shaman because of conspiracy, and a young king Lee Hwon. 
It is created from the original novel of writer Jung Eun Gwol, who also wrote The Lives of Sungkyunkwan Confucian Scholars and The Lives of Kyujanggak Confucian Scholars.
It will be directed by Kim Do Hoon, who directed Spotlight and Royal Family, and is expected to air at the beginning of 2012.
Han Ga In and Kim Soo Hyun are cast in the role of Yeon woo and Lee Hwon, respectively. Prince Yang Myung that Jung is going to play is a half-brother of Lee Hwon’s and create a love triangle between Yeon Woo and Lee Hwon.
Joo Won, who was cast in the role of Prince Yang Myung earlier, decided to give up on the role because KBS’s Ojakgyo Brothers recently decided to air more episodes.
Jung is currently playing the role of a son of a conglomerate Cha Chi Soo in tvN’s Flower Boy Ramen Shop and fascinating the female audience.
