Girl group 2NE1 recently gave a live interview to BBC and showed off their fluent English.
On December 16, 2NE1 appeared on BBC World news program, Newsday, and gave an interview.
CL talked about MTV IGGY’s the ‘Best New Band in the World,’ where they won the first place. She said, “We were very honored to perform at the concert with lots of famous musicians.”
She also talked about K-pop’s popularity. She said, “I think that’s because music has no language. Music is connected with culture. It would be a great honor for us to represent K-pop.”
“And hopefully we would represent Asian women,” she added. When she was asked what they have been achieved in two years after their debut, she replied, “Music, I think music is the biggest reason for our success.”
During the 3-minute interview, CL expressed her thoughts in fluent English.
2NE1 won the ‘Best New Ban in the World,’ conducted by MTV IGGY for six weeks starting early in October to November. They also held their concert at Times Square in New York on December 12.
