2NE1 enters its name on the SLANT’s 25 Best Singles of 2011

2NE1 is garnering the worldwide attention of music fans.

This year 2NE1 made a successful debut in Japan, as well as bringing in a huge success in Korea. Recently it was selected the 2011 best emerging band by the MTV network. SLANT, the U.S.renowned magazine on music and entertainment, highly praised its well-honed performance, high-quality music and high-level potential power.

The specialized magazine published a special report entitled the 25 Best Singles of 2011 on December 13 (local time).

According the revealed list, 2NE1 ranked 21st with its hit song “I Am The Best,” standing comparison with top stars including Beyonce, Britney Spears and Lady GaGa.

Kanye West’s “All of the Lights” topped the chart, right followed byTyler, the Creator’s “Yonkers” and Adele’s “Rolling in the Deep” in order. The magazine extolled the Korean four-girl group for its high-level musicality.

 

According to the SLANT’s article related to 2NE1, the most noticeable point of this year’s pop world is to see K-pop emerging, appealing to music fans across the world. When it comes to music, 2NE1’s “I Am The Best” is an unique song that sans pop, hip hop and dance.”

2NE1 ranked top on the vote called the Best New Band In The World held by MTV IGGY for six weeks from early October to mid-November. On December 12, they stood on stage in Times Square, New York.
