G-Dragon announced that his solo debut album will be released in Japan.
G-Dragon will make his official debut on August 14 as a solo in Japan. In 2009, G-Dragon unveiled his first solo album Heartbreaker in August and his mini album One of a Kind in September, both of which were hugely successful. All eyes are G-Dragon now to see if he can make the same achievement in the neighbor country.
Nothing specific has been mentioned yet about the details of his solo album, but as he has already established a fan base in Japan as a member of BigBang, Japanese fans are waiting excitedly for BigBang’s leader to release his solo album.
Prior to his solo debut in Japan, G-Dragon is scheduled to perform 26 times in 8 different countries for the G-DRAGON 2013 WORLD TOUR :ONE OF A KIND concert. 550,000 fans are expected to join him on the solo concerts in 13 cities across the globe.
His first solo concert kicked off on March 30 at the Seoul Olympic Gymnastics Arena, and will continue on to Japan’s four largest stadiums. On March 6 G-Dragon will be performing for his Fukuoka fans in Fukuoka Dome, and will move on to Seibu Dome on March 20 and 21. From March 27 to 29 he will stay in Osaka for concerts in Kyocera Dome, and will travel to perform at Nagoya Dome on June 1 and 2. G-Dragon’s concert and album release schedule draws more attention than ususal because unlike other artists, G-Dragon is releasing his solo debut album after his concert, not before.
Meanwhile G-Dragon also unveiled his new song MichiGo on a global mobile messenger LINE, which was a completely new method used for the first time in the world.
