Psy To Appear On Today Show May 1, 'Perform In Rockefeller Center'

Psy is stateside making his coast-to-coast rounds at special events and TV shows promoting his latest single "Gentleman."
Although he only arrived in the US a few days ago, his dance card has been jam-packed. First stop, New York City, where the Korean rapper was honored at the Tribeca Film Festival's Disruptive Innovation Awards last Friday. Then a jaunt down to Washington DC to hob-nob with politicians, diplomats, and celebrities at the White House Correspondents Dinner.

He then made his way out to California to meet up with his American manager Scooter Braun, and to undoubtedly make arrangements for more appearances in the following weeks.
Psy will be back in New York soon enough, however, as he is expected to appear on the Today Show and perform his sophomore single, "Gentleman," for fans in Rockefeller Center on May 1.
The Today Show performance will be Psy's first official television appearance on this trip to the states for "Gentleman" promotions.
"The Today Show means a lot to me," explained Psy as he was leaving Korea last week for the US. "I first performed 'Gangnam Style' on the Today Show. I'm happy to be going back with a new song."
He then said this Today Show appearance seems somewhat different from the anticipation he felt last year when promoting "Gangnam Style." This time around Psy says he will "launch official promotions with a happy start."
During this trip, Psy plans to focus on television and radio appearances. He said of his promotional schedule, "In America, it takes over a month to count televised appearances and radio schedules. I'll work hard there."
The Today Show is broadcast on NBC and airs from 7-9:00am on weekdays.
