Big Bang member G-Dragon ranked number 1 in sales in both Korea and Japan for his special sticker on the global mobile messenger, LINE.
Yesterday, LINE held a special promotion and and allowed LINE users to purchase and download the 'G-DRAGON SPECIAL EDITION' sticker and listen to his new song, "MichiGO."
This sticker received much attention in both Korea and Japan and ranked number 1 in sales. G-Dragon had revealed this song to Korea, Japan and Thailand and received an overwhelming response. He will soon reveal this song in other countries as well.
YG Entertainment commented, "We tried hard to find a way to bring G-Dragon's music to the public and not just to his fans. We decided to do it through this messenger service as the music industry seems to be going in this direction."
His new song, "MichiGO" as first performed at his Seoul concert on March 30-31 as part of his first solo world tour, 'G-DRAGON WORLD TOUR: ONE OF A KIND'.
G-Dragon, despite being ill during the preparations for the Seoul concert, continued to give it his all all the way to the performance. He was seen at all rehearsals and giving his opinion to staff and dancers in order to create the perfect performance.
Many other guests were featured at his concert such as fellow agency group, 2NE1. 2NE1 came in to perform some of their hit songs as G-Dragon's condition was not up to par.
This tour will continue on until June as he travels to 8 countries, 13 cities for a total of 26 concerts.
On the other hand, other members such as Daesung, has released his first solo Japan album and will begin his solo Japan tour soon.
