Malaysian VIP fans screamed the loudest and what a solo concert it has been for G-Dragon, his special guest -Taeyang and the many VIP fans who attended the concert! Despite the sweltering heat and slight hazy weather conditions, this didn’t stop VIPs from screaming their lungs out through out the entire duration of the concert.
G-Dragon (otherwise known as GD) kicked off his concert with ‘Michigo’, sending fans into a scream fest. The stadium could be seen in a seawave yellow of lightsticks. He proceeded to sing ‘Heartbreaker’ and and ‘One of a Kind’ before springing in a surprise for all fans – Tablo of Epik High, except it was a hologram on the screen but it was enough to make everyone go crazy.
GD continued to perform ‘The Leaders’, ‘Butterfly’ and ‘Missing You’ and even though the heat was getting to him and everyone else, it didn’t look it was going to stop him from performing as the fans wanted even more. He asked if everyone was having fun and that he misses the fans a lot. GD, known for his outrageous and trendy fashion sense did not let the warm and humid Malaysian weather stop him either from showcasing some of his best fashion ensembles for the night! The stage setup, sound system and props used for the concert were easily out of this world in terms of production cost and management.
Next up was ‘That XX’, ‘Without You’ and for the latter song he put on his golden jacket. He then proceeded to transform himself into a DJ, taking over the spintable and spinning and later singing ‘Today’. The moment which most VIP fans was waiting for has arrived – GD asked the crowd if everyone was having fun to which everyone responded resoundingly. He assured everyone his next act is gonna make everyone crazy and scream even more and it was none other than Taeyang! They performed ‘Where you at now’ together and Taeyang teased the crowd by saying he’s extremely happy to be in Malaysia and that he’s going to make everyone hotter than the current weather!
Taeyang then went on to perform ‘Breakdown’ whilst GD went backstage for a quick break. GD emerged again this time belting an English number – ‘This Love’ by Maroon 5 and later ‘Obsession’ and ‘She’s Gone’. As if the crowd hasn’t been screaming enough, when ‘Crayon’ and ‘Fantastic Baby’ came on next, the fans went wild and who can deny the popularity of these 2 songs. As GD left the stage again, fans screamed for encore and GD obliged by emerging and performing ‘Breathe’ and then ’Bad Boy’ with Taeyang.
The concert was over and GD thanked his fans for their constant support. He also expressed his love for his fans and that he will never forget this place. He asked that the fans not forget about him as well and that he will be back with all his other brothers, BIG BANG. GD’s solo album will be released in August and he hopes that his fans will continue to support him and look forward to his new solo album.
