Fans last heard a new song from 2NE1 in 2012 with their single “I Love You” and according to Yang Hyun Suk, YG has decided that “rather than releasing all the new songs that 2NE1 prepared during the last two years in just one album, 2NE1 is planning to release the songs plus music videos one a month until the end of this year.”
2NE1′s first song will be released in early July, and it is titled, “Falling in Love.” The genre is reggae, which has never been tried before by 2NE1. Additionally, 2NE1 will be working with new choregraphers from overseas for this new title song.
YG Entertainment is also planning concerts for 2NE1 that are expected to take place starting in October .
Yang Hyun Suk also announced that he will be revealing details about YG’s new girl group tomorrow. This group has been preparing for four years to debut so the anticipation is high to see what new energy the addition to the YG Family will bring to the music scene. Stay tuned to Soompi for updates!
