Yoo Ah In makes a statement after receiving Style Icon Award

Actor Yoo Ah In draws attention for his statement after receiving the Style Icon award.

On the 3rd, Yoo Ah In was selected as the sixth style icon at 2011 Style Icon Awards which was held at EJ E&M.

Yoo made a statement by saying, “I think style is about living according to one’s belief, not following the frames made by others. But, it sure is hard for people in their 20s to live like that. I hope they find their own style within themselves, not from the surrounding environment.”

At the beginning of an interview after the ceremony, Yoo inspired laughter by saying, “I think the statement was embarrassing. I’m sorry.”

Also about the secret to get dressed well, Yoo said, “I think the secret is to get dressed just the way you like it. This principle could be applied to everything in your life. It’s so much better to do certain things because you like to do it, not because everybody else is doing it.”

The fourth Style Icon Awards is an award ceremony in which people select ten most influential style icons from each field of Korean Wave, Romantic Comedy, Korean historical dramas, and Auditions.
