Psy Main Point At Harvard Lecture 'Gangnam Style was an Accident'

Psy described the enormous popularity of "Gangnam Style" an accident during his lecture at Harvard University on May 9.
The special seminar was held at Memorial Church on campus grounds at Harvard University.
In discussing and comparing "Gangnam Style" and his new song,       "Gentleman," Psy shared his honest thoughts. He stated, "There are people who tell me that 'Gentleman' is not as good or viral as 'Gangnam Style.' Well, whatever you compare with 'Gangnam Style' it will not be as crazy. The popularity of 'Gangnam Style' was like an accident." In response to Psy's frank explanation, the room was filled with laughter.
Psy went on to say that "Currently, 'Gangnam Style' has about 1.6 billion total views on YouTube. 1.6 billion makes no sense to me."
"I performed and did everything an artist does for 12 years in Korea but I never expected or even dreamed of becoming an international artist. I was completely happy back in my home country," Psy said about his sudden rise to global stardom.
Psy's lecture at Harvard University was the second time the international star spoke at the lectern at a world-renown institution. His first was at Oxford University last September.
Originally scheduled inside an auditorium that seats 200 people, Psy's lecture was moved to Memorial Church after over 1,400 individuals signed up to attend the lecture. Al Gore, Dalai Lama, Seth McFarlene have previously given lectures at Memorial Church.
