EXO 'Wolf' Teaser Video Is Equal Parts Confusing, Disturbing, And Intriguing

For the past couple weeks EXO fans have been getting pumped for the group's comeback.
The group's agency, SM Entertainment, has been releasing teaser photos of the unified group, EXO M and K together, exciting and intriguing fans across the globe. The latest teaser, for the upcoming title track "Wolf" now has many disturbingly intrigued.
The song itself was reportedly leaked back in February, and now it looks like they are all set to release it, and what promises to be a thrilling music video, on May 30.
The teaser video shows all 12 members acting, as one would expect, like wolves - crawling around, growling, and fighting one another in dark, animalistic poses. A far cry from the school boy teaser photos released earlier by SM, yet rather in line with the even more recently released "Wolf" teaser images.
The video is overflowing with wolf-like sensuality and charisma and features a powerful bass-thumping beat. When the finalized song and video are released later this month, it will be very interesting to see the EXO take on what promises to be a new, evolved type of music.
Instiz called the teaser a "mental breakdown" and many netizens appear to agree.
"The teaser images deceived us," wrote one commenter. "I was on the bus when it was released... and I naturally just facepalmed and stared at my phone in mental breakdown," said another.
Not really sure of what to make of the confusing, yet oddly appealing, teaser video, many EXO fans remarked on the members behavior in the video.
"All 12 of them literally crawled around on the floor for a minute," noted one fan and another followed by suggesting, "They're human mops. Maybe we should buy them knee pads as their next fan gifts?"
Whatever way you look at it, EXO as a conjoined group seem to be gearing up to make a big impact with their soon-to-be-released album XOXO. A new image, new appeal, and a bigger, more powerful group are just a few of the things to look forward to with "Wolf" and beyond.
It has been suggested that SM Entertainment is trying to recreate Super Junior's international appeal by bringing the Mandarin and Korean EXO members together for the new album.
But perhaps, as we can see in the teaser video for the upcoming single, the rookie idol group is going to take a much different approach to the (sometimes rather campy) multi-member idol group image.
