BIG BANG has topped the weekly album chart of Japan’s leading music chart Oricon with its latest Japanese release “MADE SERIES.”
According to a report by Oricon on February 9, the album has sold over 128,000 copies since its release on February 3. This is enough to earn the No.1 spot on the weekly album chart, as well as breaking BIG BANG’s previous sales record.
“MADE SERIES” is now BIG BANG’s most successful Japanese album to date in terms of sales. The previous record was made in December 2014, when “THE BEST OF BIG BANG 2006-2014″ sold around 120,000 copies within the first week.
Making “MADE SERIES” even more special, the release marks BIG BANG’s first Japanese studio album in nearly four years, their previous one being “ALIVE –MONSTER EDITION-” released in June 2012.
The album consists of 11 tracks, and includes Japanese versions of their latest hit singles “LOSER,” “BANG BANG BANG,” and “IF YOU.”
Meanwhile, BIG BANG is set to greet their Japanese fans at Tokyo Dome stops of “BIG BANG 2015 World Tour ~2016 [MADE] IN JAPAN” on February 23 and 24.
