After YG Entertainment confirmed that their next project was indeed male group BIG BANG, the group announced their 2015 World Tour starting with dates in Seoul.
YG Entertainment released a mysterious poster yesterday, leaving fans confused on what the five dates featured on it could mean. However, fan can breathe a sigh of relief as they won’t have to wait too long for activities from the group.
With their new album confirmed to be coming soon, the group announced that they would be holding a 2015 World Tour with the help of Naver. Starting with two concerts in Seoul, the capital of South Korea, BIG BANG’s tour will definitely be greatly anticipated by fans all over the world.
The two concerts confirmed in Seoul so far are scheduled for April 25th (on sale April 6th) and 26th (on sale April 7th). With news of BIG BANG‘s comeback and world tour confirmed, fans will be happy to know that the upcoming 2015 World Tour is the group’s biggest yet.
According to YG Entertainment on April 2nd, BIG BANG will be embarking on another world tour this year, releasing a poster that read “2015 WORLD TOUR IN SEOUL WITH NAVER” on their blog YG-Life, kick starting the tour with a two-day concert at the Seoul Olympic Stadium on April 25th and 26th.
BIG BANG last held a world tour in 2012, visiting over 12 countries and mobilizing over 800,000 fans. But this year’s world tour will be the largest the group has ever held thus far with expectations of it drawing over 1.4 million fans.
The 2015 World Tour will start in April 2015 in Seoul and will carry well over into 2016 with over 70 performances scheduled through 15 different countries, including South Korea, China, Japan, and in Southeast Asia, as well as the Americas.
Roy Bennett has been revealed to be participating in the upcoming world tour once again, reprising his position as the creative director. He has previously worked with Prince, Paul McCartney, Beyonce, Lady Gaga, and Rihanna, designing their concert stages. In addition, videographer Ed Burke (Beyonce) will be joining as a co-creative director. Gil Smith II will be jumping on as the musical director, as well as Jonathan Lia as the producer, and much more.
