Top-tier K-pop acts TVXQ!, G-Dragon and KARA have made very good debuts on Oricon’s daily music chart.
TVXQ! put their new single “Very Merry Xmas” at the second place on Oricon’s daily singles chart, while G-Dragon grabbed the same amount of honor on the albums chart with his Japan solo debut album “COUP D’ETAT + ONE OF A KIND & HEARTBREAKER,” both of which as soon as its release on Wednesday.
TVXQ!, still active and strong in the Japanese music market, confirmed their new 2014 nationwide live tour, starting at the Yokohama Arena on April 22 and wrapping it up at the Kyosera Dome in Osaka on June 19.
G-Dragon, who kicked off his full-scale solo activities in Japan this year, finally rolled out the all-inclusive album, which includes original Korean hits and new Japanese version of “CROOKED,” “WHO YOU?” and “BLACK,” featured by 2NE1’s talented vocalist BOM.
Meanwhile, KARA put both of their new single and album on the Oricon’s daily chart.
The group’s new Christmas-themed single “French Kiss” sat at No. 4 on the singles chart, while their new album “BEST GIRLS” stood on the same position on the albums chart.
KARA, who is said to be in their last promotion as the five current members, is expected to have their last local appearance in “DSP FESTIVAL-22nd Anniversary in SEOUL,” the group’s local agency DSP Media’s memorial concert to be held at the Jamsil Indoor Stadium on December 14.
