YG Yang Hyun Suk 'Doesn't Matter If CL Comes Last In Rank, Should Just Have Fun'

In a blog post containing the YG executive's thoughts on CL's comeback, a YG staff member reveals that Yang Hyun Suk, appreciates CL's hard work ahead of her comeback.  So, in a quiet moment that he was able to offer advice, YG's head honcho told the 2NE1 leader, "it doesn't matter whether you come in last in the rank, just enjoy it."  This was truly a heartwarming advice coming from YG's CEO to CL who is like a daughter to him.
YG announced CL's debut as a solo singer for May 28th.  And the 2NE1 leader is facing a lot of pressure due to the comeback 'May'hem with big names like Lee Hyori, Shinhwa, 2PM also being in the thick of their promotional activities.  Being the lead-in or pacemaker for 2NE1's upcoming comeback is also likely adding to the pressure CL feels.  Therefore, a nice reminder from her mentor to just remember to have fun is surely much appreciated.
YG representatives say in their blog YG-Life that there is reason behind Yang Hyun Suk's sage advice.  "Recently new songs has been flooding the music market and Yang understands clearly that being a temporary number 1 in the domestic music charts is far less important than letting people notice the hidden charms and uniqueness of CL. That is the key to success.", the YG blogger said.
The story behind CL's sudden comeback was also revealed in the YG-Life blogpost.  The blogger shared, "The news on CL's solo comeback was a surprise to all. Teddy, YG's main producer who is the secret to many of 2NE1's big hit songs, wrote another song. As soon as Yang heard it, he decided "the song suits CL best" and bulldozed the project in a blink of an eye."
Meanwhile, YG is taking a 'secret' or 'silent' marketing strategy around CL's comeback. Aside from the announcement of the date, not much details have been revealed.  Hopefully this silence takes the pressure off CL, even if just a little.  And Yang Hyun Suk's advice is valuable because it "hints that CL is aiming for something more than just becoming a mainstream musician. It connotes that CL is preparing a unique character of her own that can give a pleasant surprise to the fans."
Will CL follow in Psy's footsteps breaking ground internationally?  Will she be as bold as G-DRAGON and show her unique talent and color?  Badass and nervous as she must be, after all, she should just have fun.
