SHINee’s Min Ho searches for his father’s killer in a recent TV series

Min Ho of SHINee shares his story about the death of his father.

In the first episode of SBS’s The Salamander Expert and the Shadow Operation that aired on February 3, Min Hyuk (played by Min Ho) rolled up the sleeves of the salamander expert Bum Kyu (played by Lee Byung Joon), who regained his consciousness, to check whether he had salamander tattoo on his arm.

However, Bum Kyu’s arm was clean, without any hint of tattoo. Disappointed, Min Hyuk kept on showing a picture of his father to Bum Kyu, but he said he did not know him.

Kyung Ja (played by Ryu Hyun Kyung), who wanted to be a part of Crime Squad again, went to sweep the mob “Palseongpa.” Just then, she found the salamander tattoo on the arm of Palseongpa’s boss.

On hearing this, Min Hyuk asked her to let him see the boss, convincing her, “He killed my father. I was adopted in America when I was little, but I came back to Korea to catch the man who killed my father last year.

The only thing I remember of the killer is his salamander tattoo.”

Eventually, Min Hyuk met the boss of Palseongpa and checked his tattoo on the arm; but the tattoo was on his left arm, not on the right. According to his memory, the killer had the tattoo on his right arm.

So Min Hyuk went to a tattoo shop in which Palseongpa’s boss had got his tattoo three years ago, but it was out of business. A store next to it, however, handed him a picture which had a red X mark over a salamander tattoo.

The episode also attracted attention on Bum Kyu because he showed some strange symptoms after regaining his consciousness.
