Kim Soo Hyun who plays the King Hwon in MBC’s drama series The Moon That Embraces The Sun is revealed to be wearing a royal robe worth 1.5 million won.
On February 4, a media reported through the words of director Bong Hyun Sook of MBC Art Center, “The royal robe that Kim Soo Hyun wears is made by hand, and it took nearly a month to embroider it.” The cost of making the robe was also revealed, which reaches up to 1.5 million won.
In the episode of The Moon That Embraces The Sun that aired on February 2, Kim drew attention by dramatically acting a sobbing scene after reading a letter left by Yeon Woo (also known as “Wol” and played by Han Ga In) whom he believes to be dead.
According to AGB Nielsen Media Research, a firm that measures media audiences, the episode achieved 37.1% of viewing audience. The rate was increased by 2.6% from the previous episode and is now aiming for 40%.
