Boy band CNBLUE recently appeared on Japanese MTV’s Unplugged for the first time as a Korean singer.
CNBLUE shot the show on January 31 in Japan and sang twelve hit songs on the stage. Over 150 people came to see the band and gave a cheer.
The show is well known for a live performance which makes people feel realistic. And because the stage is placed close to the audience, musicians can communicate with the audience through the music. The show, in which many worldwide stars, including, Eric Clapton, Mariah Carey, and Oasis appeared, has been airing since 1989 in the United States. The show has been airing in July of last year in Japan.
Even though the show can receive only about 150 people, over 15,000 people requested to buy tickets for CNBLUE’s performance.
The band performed their new song “Where You Are” for the first time on the show. The song was released on February 1 in Japan.
CNBLUE members says, “We were so surprised to hear that over 100 times larger amount of people wanted to buy the tickets. We did our best to give the best performance. We want to thank our fans.”
CNBLUE debuted in Japan on October 19 with their song “In My Head” and recorded over 100,000 copies in album sales.
