News outlet Channel A has reported that BIGBANG’s Seungri has been summoned by the police as a suspect in the investigation for the car accident he was involved in last month. According to the analysis on the black box (dashcam) installed in his car, Seungri was found to have been speeding, which resulted in the accident.
During the ongoing investigation into the cause of the crash that ended in Seungri’s car hitting a divider before flipping over, the police—that had been dispatched to the scene—have confirmed that while drunk driving was not a factor in the accident, the BIGBANG member was driving much faster than the speed limit.
According to road traffic authority, Seungri’s Porsche was traveling at a speed between 100km-110km per hour on a 80km per hour highway.
The police notified his agency, YG Entertainment’s legal staff of Seungri’s summoning for suspected speeding immediately upon receiving the results of the black box analysis.
As the car accident was found to have been caused by speeding, if the other driver involved in the accident is injured, it is likely that Seungri may be subjected to a fine. The police is planning to call Seungri into the station for further questioning.
Meanwhile, the most recent reports on Seungri’s condition stated that he was re-admitted to the hospital for a high fever.
