This photo comes as a response to one of Taeyang's newest tweets:
Translation:"Thanks for all the love in 2013. I'm now 27 years old, it's not a young age anymore.”
In Korea, it is believed that the entire country's population ages another year during new years. Taeyang is saying that this New Years he is 27 years old and thus no longer young. Internationally, he is only 25. Koreans use both given birth dates, and traditional dates such as New Years, Korean New Years and such as an age marker. They go by calendar years, where as a person is one year old, not zero, during their first calendar year (not after completing an entire year). For more information, you can read up here.
