KARA’s Nicole changes into a fat girl

KARA’s Nicole is attracting attention as she changed into a fat girl in a TV commercial for a Japanese snack brand.

On April 10, Ōtsuka Drugs had a promotional press interview for the launching of their healthy low-calorie snack brand. With KARA members attending the interview, they released two different TV commercials for the brand. One of the versions, called Fat KARA, especially attracted attention with its witty concept and special makeup.

In the commercial, KARA members are dancing to “Speed Up” in gold outfits. Nicole is at the center dancing, but she’s fat, which reminds the viewers of Kim Ah Joong in the movie 200 Pounds Beauty.

It’s Nicole’s imagination. She eats whatever she wants to eat and becomes fat eventually. However, she eats the low-calorie snack and becomes slim again.

People responded: “She’s fat but she’s still lovely,” “I wonder how Goo Hara would look if she gets fat,” “Where can I watch this commercial?” “I wish there are more versions of Fat KARA.”

The commercial will start airing in Japan on April 14.
