Actor Joo Won and singer and actress UEE win Best New Actor and Actress respectively

Actor Joo Won and singer and actress UEE recently won Best New Actor and Actress respectively.

Each of the two Ojakgyo Brothers stars was honored with the crowns in the 48th Paek Snag Arts Awards, hosted by Lee Hoi Jae and Kim Ah Joong.

Joo Won played the role of Hwang Tae Hee and UEE appeared as Ja Eun in KBS2’s weekend series Ojakgyo Brothers. Both of the actors received rave reviews for their brilliant acting and played a crucial role in the series garnering high viewer ratings.

In the acceptance speech, Joo Won said, “I’d like to say thanks to all of my coworkers, crew members, my agency, and my fans, who tried to make up my shortcomings and thank to the member of Two Days and One Night.”

UEE also gave her acceptance speech. “I feel quite tense as it’s my first time to be in awards for actors. Thanks to all of my family, staff in my agency, director and writer of the series, and all. I also like to thank my fans and After School members. They are preparing the first concert in Japan. I didn’t expect to be here, this wonderful place, but I’d like to come here again.
