Lee Seung Gi clarifies, “I will definitely enter the Army as a proud man of the Republic of Korea.”

Recently, singer and actor Lee Seung Gi made it clear that he will not avoid serving in the Army.

Lee has turned 25 this year, and when asked the time to join the Army, he replied, “As a man of the Republic of Korea, I will definitely join the Army. But as for now, it’s hard for me to give you the exact date of entrance, but I’m definitely serving in the Army. Hope to see many of you on the day I join the Army.”
In The King 2 Hearts, Lee plays Lee Jae Ha, the Prince of South Korea who falls in love with the North Korean officer Kim Hang Ah (played by Ha Ji Won) at the International Convention of the Officers. The conference showed a trailer of the series in which Lee appears in a neat uniform going through tough army trainings such as CBR exercise.
Based on the premise that the Republic of Korea is a constitutional monarchy, The King 2 Hearts features a love story between military instructor Kim Hang Ah of the North Korean Special Forces and an arrogant Prince of South Korea, Lee Jae Ha. Their relationship is to face many obstacles such as prejudice, hostile borderline between two countries, and different social status, but will eventually overcome all of it throughout the series.
