Lee Da Hae is cast in a Chinese TV series as a lead role

Actress Lee Da Hae was recently cast in a Chinese TV series.
Lee will start shooting the series Ae-Juk-Mil-Bang in China on March 5. After several TV series, including, SBS’s My Girl and KBS’s Hello Baby were introduced in China, Lee became a popular Hallyu star. Then she was offered many jobs from China but she finally decided to appear on the series.
The series will be set at a dumpling restaurant and revolves around a cook’s rise to success. Lee will play the role of the best cook named So Ha, who is very poor but will be successful as a cook.
Since the series talks about food, it is considered as the Chinese version of Korean TV series Dae Jang Gum.
Lee is very popular in China and has over 2,600,000 followers on her Weibo account. She has been studying Chinese for 7 years and she appeared Chinese talk shows without an interpreter.
A spokesperson for Lee’s agency says, “She can speak three languages, including English, she has no difficulty in doing foreign schedules. Since she speaks the best Chinese among Korean actors, who debuted in China, many Chinese officials want to cast her.”
Lee recently signed a contract with Forestar Entertainment to keep her busy doing a variety of jobs both in Korea and other countries.
