On the March 11th episode of SBS ‘Inkigayo‘, Big Bang‘s Taeyang shocked fans by giving IU a heartfelt hug.
‘Inkigayo’ MC IU who has previously revealed her ideal man to be Taeyang asked him, “White Day is coming up, who would you like to give chocolates to?”, which caused the rest of the Big Bang members to start chanting, “Kiss, Kiss, Kiss!”
Taeyang then suddenly threw his arms around IU, and although she looked a little taken aback, she could not hide her joy and evoked envy amongst all the Big Bang fans.
After the program was broadcasted, netizens immediately began posting clips of IU admitting that Taeyang was her ideal man.
The clips included one of IU kissing Taeyang on a past episode of SBS ‘Heroes‘.
On the program, Taeyang and IU put on a couple performance of “I Need A Girl” on stage, and IU placed a quick kiss on Taeyang’s cheek.
Fan reactions to IU kissing Taeyang varied. Comments included, “Please stop, you too,” “Can you just date already?”, “Kiss before Hug?”, “They have something for real?“, and more.
