BOYFRIEND’s First Conference in Singapore

In a joint effort with LAUNCH Entertainment Singapore and Starship Entertainment Korea, brings in the first ever joint-fanmeeting event of SISTAR and BOYFRIEND all the way in Singapore’s Suntec Convention Centre, 26 February 2012 last Sunday. In commemoration of the debut arrival of both groups from Seoul, a press conference was held on the same day.
The fresh and cute boyband BOYFRIEND made their appearance first at the conference. Dressed in black tuxedo with unique cuts, it was an apt choice of coordination to look manly and handsome with bringing out their best features of being tall and having smooth skin.
Hosted by VJ Ah Ken, the conference went on smoothly with a turn in Q&A and interesting showcase of their little talents, which was a little sneak peek of what’s to come in the fanmeet later. “Hello, I’m your… Boyfriend! Nice to meet you all,” greeted the six boys at first. Leader Donghyun, along with the other membersKwangmin, Youngmin, Minwoo, Hyunseong, and Jeongmin took turns in greeting the press. VJ Ken asked them if they knew other languages, which they proceed into a short hello in different languages, where Donghyun spoke in fluent Japanese, Hyunseong in English, Minwoo in Chinese, Youngmin spoke in Thai, Kwangmin back in Korean, and Jeongmin boasting in French, but only ended as “Bonjour… Boyfriend!” which caused laughter from the room.

As it was their first arrival to Singapore, leader Donghyun has expressed surprise and gratitude for there were many fans waiting for them in the airport during their arrival on the 25th. “They all gave such a warm welcome we didn’t expect it would be this big at all,” he commented.

Continuing on to share their recent experiences and what they heard about the country, this was the first K-pop group to have said something different other than “Chilli Crab”, which was said by the member who eats the most Hyunseong said he heard about “Laksa”. Other than that, he loves his ice-cream, bread and eating a lot of meat, which in return, should exercise a lot, as VJ Ah Ken asked that he should go often to the gym.

As their group’s name is ‘Boyfriend’, it was no surprise when a few asks about what are there best qualities to be a good boyfriend and what kind of boyfriend do you want to be in real life?
Donghyun, in general, has taken the baton to say that “we would like to be the someone who sticks to his girlfriend all the time and always be there for them,” which VJ Ah Ken noted that “Then you’re not the boyfriend we’re all looking for because you’re all busy travelling here and there around the world!”
“With my own composition, I would like to sing for the girl while playing the piano,” declared Jongmin of his romantic side which I’m sure all BESTFRIENDS would swoon. We look forward to their future solo act performances one day in their concert, which this may happen for all fans!
The press conference ended for the six members to take a picture together with B.O.P, a 13-member group from Thailand which came all the way as an opening act for the fanmeet held at Suntec Convention Center.
