A dating scene for a Philippine romantic comedy movie will be filmed in Gwanghwamun Plaza.
On January 25, the Korean National Tourism Organization reported that they’ve enticed the Philippine movieKimmy Dora and the Temple of Kiyeme to film in Korea. This is a sequel to Kimmy Dora, which was released in 2009 in the Philippines. Kimmy Dora was a box-office hit in the Philippines, drawing nearly seven million viewers in six weeks.
The sequel to the movie is about twin sisters Kimmy and Dora finding true love and eventually happiness while traveling in Korea, where their father was from. The filming will take place at major landmarks of Seoul, such as Gwanghwamun Plaza, Cheonggyecheon, Myeongdong, Namsan N Seoul Tower, and Doseonsa from January 29 to February 8. The total running time for the movie is 105 minutes, and the scenes set in Seoul will be take up about 20 to 30 minutes. The movie will be released in April in the Philippines.
The Korean National Tourism Organization says, “In terms of tourism marketing, indirect advertisement through movies, like product placement, usually turns out to be positive. Southeast Asian countries are especially in favor of filming in Korea because of the Hallyu boom. While building up our experience in this, we will consistently try to entice internationally popular movies, like Hollywood movies, as well.”

The Korean National Tourism Organization has also enticed Malaysian and Thai movies and drama series to shoot in Korea.
