Big Bang’s Daesung gathered over 34,000 fans for his Japanese solo arena concert, proving his popularity in the country.
Beginning with the Yokohama arena on June 11 and 12, Daesung kickstarted his solo arena tour titled D-Lite Dlive 2014 in Japan ~D’slove.
The two-day concert gathered over 34,000 fans and Daesung caught attention by participating in producing every aspect as the concert, showing his growth as a solo artist.
Daesung performed different genres of music, including dance, ballad, medium tempos, in his own style. He also performed his new song Rainy Rainy for the first time and some of the fans showed tears upon hearing the sentimental ballad song.
Daesung previously released his new single Rainy Rainy on June 11, ranking number one on Japanese iTunes as well as on Japanese music charts, including mu-no.
On June 12, Daesung revealed some of the songs to be included in hisupcoming Japanese album, set to release on July 16. The album will be titled D’slove and will hold a total of ten tracks, including the OST for Japanese drama I Love You, four songs included in the single album Rainy Rainy and more.
The DVD will contain the music video for Rainy Rainy and I Love You as well as Daesung enjoying his vacation in Hokkaido.
Having gathered over 100,000 fans for his first solo concert tour last year, performing 26 concerts in 20 cities around Japan, Daesung plans to perform 15 concerts in 8 cities for his second arena tour, gathering over 170,000 fans.
