According to an October 16 announcement by his agency, YG Entertainment, G-Dragon proved his popularity in Hong Kong and Taiwan by recording high rankings on the two countries’ music chart, called KKBox, with his second studio album, Coup d’état, which went on sale in the two countries on October 4.
“Crooked,” a song from the album released in advance on September 13, has continued to rank at the top, and other numbers from the album, released on October 4, have also ranked high on both countries’ charts. In the Taiwan Weekly Charts, “Crooked” ranked first and four other songs ranked in the top 10 including, “Coup d’état,” “R.O.D.,” “Who Are You,” and “Black.” “Crooked” also took number one on the Hong Kong Weekly Chart, and a total of six numbers ranked within the top ten. In addition to the achievement of individual songs, the album also took the number-one ranking on the KKBox Weekly Album Chart.
G-Dragon and other Big Bang members will tour six Japanese domes in November.
