Recently, a picture of actor So Jisub and Sung Yuri which was taken nine years ago is suddenly brought up above the surface, attracting attention. On June 16, along with the title “In his earliest days, So Jisub was dressed like Confucian scholar Yi Hwang,” some pictures were uploaded on an online community board. The posting includes some captured images from the TV series Thousand Years Of Love that broadcasted in 2003, in which So Jisub and Sung Yuri are shooting a bedroom scene. So is drawing particular attention for his makeup makes him like the famous Confucian scholar from the Joseon Dynasty, Yi Hwang. There is another picture added to the posting in which the face of Yi Hwang from a Korean dollar bill is doctored into the face of the actor. Although two pictures are put together, they work perfectly in the harmony. Netizens who saw the posting commented: “Jisub, you look exactly like the Korean dollar bill.” “He really looks like Yi Hwang in that picture.” “Sung Yuri looks very young.” “Despite all that, So is an amazing guy.”
