Actor Kim Beom recently proved that he is the newest hallyu star in Chinese speaking countries.
On June 5, Kim’s agency, King Kong Entertainment said that Kim appeared on the cover of the June edition of Chinese magazine Men’s Uno.
The magazine is published in Chinese speaking countries, including, China, Taiwan, and Hong Kong. Dramatic pictures of Kim were also included in a 4 page spread.
Through the magazine, Kim portrayed an oily and shiny boy in the 80s and showed off his manly charms and modern images.
Jason Jang, president of HS Media, who edited the magazine, says, “Kim’s look appeals to people in Chinese speaking countries. He is a blue chip in the fashion and advertisement business in Chinese speaking countries.”
“Since Kim is the next hallyu star to try his hand at performing seriously and who has hatred to lose, the 23 year old boy was able to capture the audience with his acting skills. He is very promising actor.”
Kim is currently finishing up shooting on the thriller movie Miracle (directed by Kwon Ho Young).
