BIG BANG WRAPS UP JAPAN 5-DOME TOUR AFTER GATHERING OVER 741,000 FANS

As the first foreign artist to launch the five dome tour in Japan for the second year in a row, Big Bang successfully wrapped up its Big Bang Japan Dome Tour 2014~2015 ‘X’ on January 18 at the Kyocera dome in Osaka.
The five dome tour, which was launched in 2014 in celebration of Big Bang’s fifth anniversary in Japan, consisted of 15 concerts held in five cities, starting with the Nagoya dome on November 15, Osaka’s Kyocera dome on November 20-23, Fukuoka Yafuoku dome on December 6-7, Sapporo dome on December 20, Tokyo dome on December 25-27 of 2014, and Osaka’s Kyocera dome on January 16-18, gathering a total of 741,000 fans. The group especially launched seven concerts in Osaka’s Kyocera dome during this tour, becoming the first artist in Japan to hold concerts over the longest period of time.
This dome tour was participated by some of the most active staff members from around the world and featured state-of-the-art equipment, increasing the quality of the concerts.
The tour was directed by Jamie King, who is currently one of the most influential people in the music industry. Jamie King previously took charge of the tours launched by numerous artists, including Michael Jackson, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, and more.
Roy Bennett was in control of the stage lighting, who also worked with Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, Paul McCartney, Rihanna, and more, while Veneno took charge of the tour videos, who produced the tour videos for Madonna, Britney Spears, Celine Dion, Spice Girls, Ricky Martin, Christina Aguilera, and more.
On top of this, the live band consisted of the members headed by Gil Smith II, who has worked with Eminem, Chris Brown, Lady Gaga, Britney Speakrs, and Lil Wayne, as well as Big Bang during its first world tour Bigbang Alive Galaxy Tour 2012~2013 and Bigbang Japan Dome Tour 2013~2014.
A total of about 3 billion Japanese Yen (~25.5 million USD) was used to produce the stages for the Big Bang Japan Dome Tour 2014~2015 ‘X’, which gathered world-class tour staff members, and utilized a 30-meter center stage, as well as six 50-meter protruding stages, which spread out from the center stage to the audience like the spokes of a wheel.
For this tour, a large number of stage lightings and equipment were imported from countries outside of Japan, and high-tech equipment, including the LED screens, were set up on the protruding stages, while the multi-cellular speakers ‘MLA,’ presented high quality concerts for the audience.
Above anything else, Big Bang proved how it was able to carry out the five dome tour in Japan for two years in a row by presenting its passionate and unique performances. Starting with Fantastic Baby, Big Bang presented 20 songs over three hours, including Tonight, Haru Haru, Garagara Go!!, Bad Boy, My Heaven, as well as GDXTaeyang’s Good Boy, captivating the fans with their charisma and singing abilities.
Wrapping up the tour, G-Dragon stated, “We were sad that we weren’t able to show Big Bang’s new stages last year, but this year, we promise to quickly return to you all with a new album. The five members of Big Bang will return so that your time of waiting is not wasted, so please continue to show your love and support.”
