During a recent interview with reporters, G-Dragon and Taeyang opened up about the one time they have ever fought with one another during their 14 years of friendship and revealed the story behind it.
When asked if the two friends have ever clashed with each other while preparing for their unit promotions, they shared, “Strangely, we’ve fought exactly one time during the 14 years that we’ve known each other,” raising curiosity as to the reason behind that one fight.
Most people would assume it probably had to do with a girl or their singing parts, however, they stated a very unexpected answer. The story of their fight went as far back as their middle school days, during a basketball game in which they were on the verge of even getting physical.
G-Dragon explained, “We were playing basketball and it got to the point where we started flinging our fists back and forth. The kids around us stopped us before it escalated into a physical fight,” as he laughed. Taeyang added with a smile, “Because we knew we had to see each other until the end as BIGBANG members, we didn’t drag out the fight. Also, if we actually fight, I would lose.” It is said that the two of them were unable to stop laughing as they remembered fighting over trivial nonsense.
