Psy now stands at the top on Europe’s iTunes, followed by his number one rank in iTunes Worldwide Chart.
Psy’s ‘Gentleman’ went ahead of P!nk’s ‘Just Give Me a Reason, leaving her on number two. The two artists are followed by other pop-stars like Rihanna, Justin Bieber, and Bruno Mars.
At the same time, ‘Gentleman’ is the frontrunner of iTunes charts in 40 different countries including Brazil, Finland, Sweden, Thailand and Singapore.
Just like ‘Gangnam Style’, Psy’s previous MV that helped him rise to global stardom, ‘Gentleman’ is becoming another extremely viral video on YouTube. There is a good chance this will become another big-hit. On April 13 at 9p.m. the new song was unveiled on YouTube, and in just four days it raked in 100 million views. That is the shortest period of time a video took to accumulate that many viewers in YouTube’s history.
In the morning of April 17, the viewer number was at 155 million with 1.11 million Likes.
