Rain To Meet President Obama When South Korea’s President Makes First Visit To US



Pop singer Rain will travel to the United States with South Korea's president on her first offical visit to the US and meet President Obama.
"President Obama and President Park will also discuss a broad range of economic and security issues, including continued cooperation on denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and countering the North Korean threat," the White House said in a statement.
Pop star Rain will be accompanying the South Korean president as an entertainment solider. Rain is in the middle of his mandatory 21-month military service. A service required of all Korean men when they reach a certain age.
While in Washington Rain will be introduced to President Obama and the First Lady. Although the two presidents will have a lot of business to talk they will also attend a few special events such as fashion show for the traditional Korean garment the hanbok.
The hanbok is a type of dress made up of bright colors, with simple lines and is typically worn today during holidays or special ceremonies. According to the Korea JoongAng Dailyofficials are going to invite the president and Michelle Obama to try on a traditional Korean hanbok.
Rain is serving his military duty as an entertainment solider. A special branch of the military designed for entertainers to help and aid the military by performing at shows and other events.
Rain is still scheduled to travel with President Park and meet President Obama despite rumors that he will be brought up on disciplinary action for meeting up with his actress girlfriend Kim Tae-hee while on duty.
South Korea's President is scheduled to meet with President Obama on May 7.
