Psy VS. Brown Eyed Girls: Who Danced It Better?

As Psy's latest music video, "Gentleman" is sweeping the internet, attention has also been directed at the Gain and the Brown Eyed Girls.

By now most people have caught on to the fact that the choreography in Psy's "Gentleman" video is a spoof on the so-called 'arrogance dance' popularized by the Brown Eyed Girls in their 2009 music video for the song "Abracadabra."

The sexy hip swivel dance move quickly spread across the Korean peninsula four years ago, and now, thanks to Psy, it is back in full swing - this time on an international scale.

The Brown Eyed Girls, too, have seen a sharp increase in attention from around the globe and their old single is back on the charts once again.

From all across the globe Gain and her group mates have received promotional and sponsorship offers, and many are interested to see what the luscious ladies have in store for their upcoming album.

The Brown Eyed Girls now find themselves in the midst of a scheduling war as many overseas opportunities present themselves.

When "Abracadabra" was initially released, the Brown Eyed Girls did some promotional activities overseas, even performing the song and 'arrogance dance' in the United States. Unfortunately, at that time, America was not ready to accept the K-Pop and hallyu wave. But oh how times have changed.

Some would say they are piggybacking on Psy's success, but it would behoove one to remember, they started it all. "Abracadabra" and its sensual choreography mesmerized millions of K-Pop fans and was a fast hit in clubs all around Asia.

Sure, they can thank Psy for revitalizing their popularity, even for thrusting them into the global market, but after all, wasn't it a shame to leave the 'arrogance dance' in the past?

In "Gentleman," which of course features Brown Eyed Girl Gain, Psy adds his own quirky spin to the choreography and made it available to the world.
