Psy 'Gentleman' Breaks Records for MV, Billboard and iTunes

Just several days into the official release of "Gentleman", Psy has already broken all kinds of records.

Billboard announced that "Gentleman" was ranked at number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100. Previously, K-Pop has never broken the top 20 within the first week of release. What is more surprising is the effective number of days that were reflected in the rankings: only two. It recorded 8.6 million stream views, doubling the runner-up Pink who came in at 4.6 million. "Gentleman" seems to safely sail into the top 10 next week.

Also on iTunes, Psy claimed the top spot on World Charts in just four days after his comeback.

On YouTube, after breaking the opening day record previously by Justin Bieber by recording a whopping 18 million view counts, "Gentleman" currently has 145 million hits.

Psy is embarking on a global promotional tour starting around April 20. Considering the additional popularity brought on by his TV appearances during the "Gangnam Style" crazy, there are more records waiting to be broken at this point.
