G-DRAGON WINS HIGH PRAISE FROM AMERICA’S BILLBOARD – “MICHAEL JACKSON-LEVEL” CONCERT

America’s Billboard praised the leader of BigBang highly, saying that G-Dragon’s concert was a “Michael Jackson-level affair.”
According to YG Entertainment, the agency to which G-Dragon belongs, Billboard spotlighted the K-pop prince in a video interview.
Billboard, apart from posting a 15-minute long video clip of an interview with G-Dragon, also wrote an article about his first solo world tour ONE OF A KIND that was held in Seoul on March 30 and 31.
Billboard illustrated the scenes from his concert: “The vibrant, two-hour, Michael Jackson-level affair had begun. With eye-popping props, numerous outfit changes, multiple LED screens flashing video visuals, and dazzling laser lights, the highly-energetic performer moved through a remixed version of his monster solo debut single ‘Heartbreaker’ and knocking track ‘One Of a Kind.” The concert was superbly organized and was truly ‘eye-popping.’
Billboard also wrote about the interview with the two creative directors of the world tour, Travis Payne and Stacy Walker.
In the video interview, Stacy Walker expressed her admiration for the K-pop artist when she said, “GD has elements of both MJ and Lady Gaga.”
Jeff Benjamin, the architect of Billboard’s latest article on G-Dragon, also introduced the new song Go. He writes, “The song has a recurrent dubstep breakdown which, curiously, appears before the catchy, repetitive ‘michi go’ hook.” He also talked about the unprecedented strategy used for releasing the song, which was through a phone app, and the procedures to download the song.
In the meantime, G-Dragon will be in Japan on April 6 for his Fukuoka Yahoo Japan Dome concert.
