Singer Lena Park opens up about the hardship she went through in the past

Singer Lena Park recently opened up about the hardship she went through in the past.

On the episode of Jeong Bo Seok’s Jewelry House on MBC that aired on July 12, K-pop diva Park Jeong Hyun appeared and explained the rumors circulating so far.

There have been rumors that the singer got swindled by a manager of an entertainment agency. When asked to clarify the rumors, Park explained, “That’s not true. I didn’t get swindled by a manager.”

She added, “I managed to come to Korea with the hope to become a singer, and I got to belong to an entertainment agency, where I managed to finish recording a studio album. However, things with the agency went from bad to worse, so I had to give up making a debut with that album.”

The songbird said that she had felt really lonely and empty, so she got to rely on her friend, composer Kim Deok Yoon.

Kim explained, “Because of high cost of the international phone call, Park hardly made a phone call to her parents. Also, she never told them she was going through hard times because she didn’t want them to worry about her.”
