Idol group Infinite donated ‘9 tons of rice’(9,075kg) for children.

Previously on February 14, corporation Dreame held a rice give-away event and gave away 3.63tons (363 bags of 10kg) of rice to Hapchong’s Holt Children’s Services Inc. in place of Inifinite’s agency, Woolim Entertainment.

In addition, on April 2, they once again shared their love by donating 5.445 ton (545 bags of 10kg) of rice to Gwangju’s Institute for Disabled Children.

The total amount of rice they donated is 9tons: 3.63tons from February, and 5.445tons that the fans donated at the Encore Concert which was held at Seoul Olympic Gymnasium on April 1.

That amount of rice is enough to treat one meal to 75,000 children.

Unlike the previous fandom culture, which gave flowers and presents, fans now cheer and encourage their favorite stars by giving rice wreaths. The stars then donate those rice wreaths to help the needy.

A representative of Institue for Disabled Children reveals, “The rice Infinite donated is enough to feed the children for five months. I really want to thank them.”
