Park Ji Min finally won SBS’s Survival Audition—K-pop star.
On the episode of SBS’s Survival Audition—K-pop star that aired on April 29, Park was crowned, beating her final rival Lee Ha Yi.
The sixteen-year-old shed tears, saying, “I’m thrilled to win this show. I’d like to thank all the people who supported me. I’m happy that I feel like being rewarded all the efforts I put into this show so far.”
Park chose the song “Music Is My Life” by Im Jung Hee, showed off her powerhouse vocals, and beat her rival Lee.
Judge BoA gave her 98 points, commenting, “I wish there were less high notes.” Yang Hyun Suk gave 99 points, saying, “I hope you get more confident look.”
Park Jin Youn stated, “I like you sing with your own style, but I’m not positive that you started singing high notes from the beginning,” and gave her 95. Park scored a total of 291, one point higher than Lee Ha Yi.
In the second battle, the contenders were supposed to sing the song previously done by the opposite ones. Park chose the song “Mercy” and scored the same with Lee.
Park blew away the three judges with her uplifting, lively performance and received rave reviews.
