Actor Jung Il Woo was recently invited to the 4th Korea-Japan friendship Festa.
Representing Korea, the actor is to attend the festival held at Shibuya Public Hall in Tokyo on April 8. He is slated to board the special train, Meets Komago, which will be running temporarily for the event celebrating the 1300-year anniversary of the army of Corea Dynasty.
A source form the festival says, “Boarding on the special train is unprecedented, and Japanese outlets are showing huge interests to the news that Jung is going to set a milestone.
In response to the invitation as a special guest, Jung said, “I really appreciated sending your love and support to MBC’s series The Moon that Embraces the Sun, I feel happier than ever with the invitation to this meaningful event. I’m looking forward to meeting local people and fans and spending quality time with them.”
The non-profit organization, Japan-Korea Cultural Exchange Council, has held the Korea-Japan Friendship Festa, which has the theme of Korean historical dramas, every year in April since 2008. And it has become one of the major cultural exchange and charity events in Japan with the appearances of popular Korean actors. For 2012, Jung, who had received explosive responses through The Moon that Embraces the Sun, is to stop by the event.
